Parents invited to meet doulas at Sutter Davis Birthing Center

Expectant parents can “Meet the Doulas” at the Sutter Davis Hospital Birthing Center from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday. The event will take place in the meeting rooms off the cafeteria hallway at the hospital, 2000 Sutter Place in West Davis.

A birth doula is a woman trained to offer physical comfort and emotional support, and guides women and their partners continuously through labor and birth. Sutter Davis Hospital’s Birthing Center has a trained staff of volunteer doulas who will discuss their labor support techniques.

The meeting is free.
