By From page A5 | May 02, 2013

Free Comic Book Day returns to Bizarro World on Saturday, part of a worldwide promotion on the first Saturday in May that draws more than 1 million customers into participating comic book stores that are giving away special comics for free. No purchase is required.

Bizarro World, 223 E St. in downtown Davis, will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday. For more information, call 530-759-9490.

Free Comic Book Day has been an annual tradition since 2002, and Bizarro World has participated since the event’s inception. The FCBD comics are produced especially for the event by all publishers, big and small, and include major characters and creators.

A list of available comics and more is at www.freecomicbookday.com and local store information is at www.bizarroworld.net or Facebook Bizarro World.
