Picnic Day Parade float ideas sought

By From page A3 | February 19, 2013

This year’s Picnic Day Parade will feature floats designed and built by Davis’ neighborhoods, thanks to the efforts of Davis resident Shelley Dunning. Five separate neighborhood float committees are fundraising and planning their creations for the popular annual event, on Saturday, April 20.

Residents of Central Davis are invited to gather from noon to 1:30 p.m. Sunday near the oak tree in Central Park, Fourth and C streets.

“Bring your ideas and we can all create something special for this year’s Picnic Day,” says Central Davis organizer Julie Langston. For more information, email her at [email protected].
