Davis Community Church Nursery School, a parent cooperative in its 40th year of operation, has openings for the remainder of the 2012-13 school year. The programs are for children 15 months to 5 years of age who are ready for a group experience. The school is at 412 C St. in downtown Davis.

DCCNS has openings in both the morning and afternoon programs for children who were 3 years old by Sept. 1. Classes are from 9 to 11:45 a.m. or 1 to 3:45 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Parents participate two to three times a month. Experienced, credentialed teachers lead the classes.

Openings are also available in the Early Explorers program for children ages 15 to 24 months, which meets from noon to 1:30 p.m. Fridays. This program is an opportunity for hands-on playtime for parents and children in a comfortable, supportive and nurturing environment. Parents will learn positive parenting skills and ways to encourage their child’s natural curiosity.
