Preview Arboretum plant sales inventory at guided tour

By From page A3 | September 19, 2012

Garden lovers can get a sneak peek at the inventory offered at the UC Davis Arboretum fall 2012 plant sales at a guided tour from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Arboretum Teaching Nursery on Garrod Drive on campus. The plant sales will take place Saturdays, Sept. 29 and Oct. 14.

“While we won’t be selling plants at this tour, participants can take notes on our exciting plant offerings and their locations in the nursery so they are ready for these popular sales,” a news release said.

Visitors also will have special access to view the demonstration gardens within the teaching nursery, which is not open except during public sales.

The public tour is free, as is campus parking on weekends.
