Project Linus gathers March 14

The Project Linus of Yolo County group will meet from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, at the Davis Senior Center, 646 A St.

The group makes and distributes gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans created by volunteers to provide love, warmth and security to needy children in the community.

All are invited to attend the meeting to help sew labels on blankets handmade by volunteers. The blankets are given each month to organizations in Yolo County that serve children in need.

Each month, new fabric and yarn is available to pick up and take home to complete a blanket. Finished blankets can be brought to the next monthly gathering or dropped off at Diane McGee’s house. For drop-off location, information about donating fabric or yarn, or more details, contact McGee at [email protected] or call (530) 753-3436.
