Project Linus plans next meeting

By From page A3 | July 07, 2013

Anyone who enjoys quilting, knitting or sewing is invited to come to the next gathering of Project Linus of Yolo County from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Davis Senior Center, 646 A St.

Volunteers make blankets for children in the community who are seriously ill, traumatized or otherwise in need. A record total of 1,368 blankets were made and donated by the group in 2012.

New fabrics and yarn are available each month for pickup and may be taken home to complete a blanket.

Finished blankets may be brought to the next monthly gathering or dropped off at Diane McGee’s house. For more information, contact McGee at [email protected] or 530-753-3436.
