Happiness is a warm blanket, made with love! Local residents who enjoy quilting, knitting or sewing are invited to Project Linus’ monthly gathering from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, at the Davis Senior Center, 646 A St.
Volunteers make blankets for children in the community who are seriously ill, traumatized or otherwise in need. A record total of 1,368 blankets were made and donated by the group in 2012.
New fabrics and yarn are available each month for pickup and may be taken home to complete a blanket. Finished blankets may be brought to the next monthly gathering or dropped off at Diane McGee’s house. For dropoff location questions, fabric or yarn donations or more information, contact McGee at firstname.lastname@example.org or 530-753-3436
