The Woodland-Davis Aeromodelers will host their annual static display of radio-control and control line airplanes at the County Fair Mall on Saturday and Sunday. Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. The mall is at Gibson Road and East Street in Woodland.
There will be ongoing demonstrations of model-building as well as discussions on the radio-control sport and hobby. Jets, World War II airplanes, antique and golden age models, aerobatic airplanes, seaplanes, gliders and helicopters will be featured. A flight simulator will be present to let visitors try your hand at flying a radio-control plane.
WDA members will be present to answer questions about radio-control planes, club activities, the flying site and how to join and learn to fly with qualified instructors. WDA meetings are open to the public and take place at 7 p.m. on the second Monday of the month at the mall.
