Reproductive rights forum set for March 3

The American Civil Liberties Union of Yolo County will host a free public event providing an update on reproductive rights legislation and court cases at 7 p.m. Monday, March 3, at the Stephens Branch Library, 315 E. 14th St. in Davis.

Three speakers will be featured at the event, titled “It’s a Shame We Can’t Talk About Abortion: A Reproductive Justice Forum.” They are:

* Catherine Cansino, M.D., M.P.H., interim director of the family planning section of the obstetrics and gynecology department at UC Davis;

* Beth H. Parker, chief legal counsel at Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California; and

* Mitch Creinin, M.D., chairman of the obstetrics and gynecology department at UCD.
