Retired teachers to hear about health care

Members of the Yolo County division of the California Retired Teachers Association will hold their general meeting and luncheon Wednesday at the Yolo County Office of Education, 1280 Santa Anita Court, Suite 100, in Woodland. The business meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. with speakers following at 11 a.m.

Dan Braunstein and Jerry Marr will address several issues regarding implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care act. “The Healthcare Movie,” which dispels myths about the single-payer system used in Canada, will be screened. Other issues will be addressed, including the key features of the new California insurance exchange.
