Rose garden brick sales end this month

By From page A3 | March 13, 2014

The last day to order an inscribed brick for the rose garden patio next to the Hattie Weber Museum will be Saturday, March 22.

Summer wheat-colored border bricks honor mothers, grandmothers and other exceptional women. Red field bricks honor couples, families, men, businesses and organizations. A message of up to 45 characters in three lines can be inscribed. The cost is $50 per brick.

Proceeds benefit the restoration of the Works Progress Administration building in Central Park, adjacent to the museum. Order forms are available at the museum, 445 C St. in Central Park, on Wednesdays and Saturdays between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. or call Mary Lee Thomson at 530-756-0517.

Museum volunteers hope to have the bricks laid in time for a Mother’s Day reception, but construction in the park may cause a delay, Thomson said.
