Rummage sale benefits International Festival
A garage sale to benefit International House, Davis, will run from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at 612 C St in downtown Davis, just north of the Farmers Market.
“We will be raising money for our International Festival,” said Elisabeth Sherwin, I-House executive director. “We have a sound system, books, a large oil painting, and many other interesting items.”
The International Festival will take place on Oct. 1 at the Veterans’ Memorial Center from noon to 6 p.m., Sherwin said. Funds raised at Saturday’s sale will support many of the events at the festival, where “unity in diversity” is the theme.
Sherwin invites local residents to clean out their closets and donate items for the sale. Bring items to 612 C St. or call Sherwin at (530) 758-7559.
