Strands Salon, an Aveda concept salon in downtown Davis, is hosting a fundraising cutathon from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 27, at 135 F St.

“Get a great haircut at a great price — just $25,” a news release said. “Plus, 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the League to Save Lake Tahoe, to help keep Tahoe blue.”

The fundraiser is part of Aveda’s Earth Month promotion, which raises funds to protect the planet. The company has raised more than $35 million for environmental causes since 1999, including more than $26 million for clean water projects.

Call 530-759-0795 to book an appointment, and walk-ins are welcome as well. Those who cannot make the event are invited to donate online at www.strandssalon.com.
