Sierra Club gathers for morning walks

By From page A6 | February 12, 2013

The Sierra Club hosts “brrrisk” morning walks in Davis on Tuesdays and Thursdays year-round. The group meets at 7 a.m. at Peet’s Coffee & Tea in The Marketplace at Sycamore Lane and Covell Boulevard.

The walking distance is about 4.5 miles in 90 minutes, with the group returning to Peet’s about 8:30 a.m. Walkers will watch for turkeys, geese, raptors, coyotes and other wild visitors to Davis greenbelts, ponds, fields, ditches, dirt paths, gardens, Village Homes, UC Davis campus or Arboretum.
