Sierra Club hosts twice-weekly walks

By From page A4 | June 14, 2013

The Sierra Club organizes early-morning walks year-round in Davis, and all are welcome. The group meets at 7 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at Peet’s Coffee & Tea at The Marketplace, at Covell Boulevard and Sycamore Lane. Rain cancels the walk.

The group walks about 4.5 miles in 90 minutes and returns to Peet’s about 8:30 a.m. Watch for wild turkeys, geese, raptors, coyotes, and other wild visitors to Davis greenbelts, ponds, fields, ditches, dirt paths, gardens, Village Homes, UCD campus or the Arboretum.

For more information, contact co-leaders Marilu Carter at 530-758-3151, Richard Crescitelli at [email protected]¬†or Barb Levin at 530-758-1589.
