Sierra Club members walk early

By From page A4 | December 11, 2012

The Sierra Club hosts “brrrisk” morning walks in Davis year-round on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The group meets at 7 a.m. at Peet’s Coffee & Tea at The Marketplace, Covell Boulevard and Sycamore Lane. All are welcome; rain cancels the outing.

The walking distance is 4.5 miles in 90 minutes, and the group returns to Peet’s at 8:30 a.m. The walk takes in greenbelt scenery, wildlife ponds, fields, ditches, dirt paths, gardens, Village Homes, the UC Davis campus and the Arboretum.

For information, call co-leaders Marilu Carter at 530-758-3151 or Randy Brendia at 530-400-8852.
