The Sierra Club Yolano Group will host its fall potluck and a presentation on great local fall hikes by Andrew Fulks, president of Tuleyome and creator of Tuleyome’s YoloHiker.org, on Thursday, Sept. 22.
Fulks will introduce attendees to his favorite fall hikes in the Yolo County foothills. He has been breaking trails and heading group hikes in the Inner Coast Range for many years, and “there is probably no one more familiar with the really wonderful hiking opportunities in our own back yard,” a news release said.
“Come and find out about these hidden gems in the Putah Creek and Cache Creek watersheds from the person who knows them best,” the release said.
The event will take place in the Blanchard Room of Stephens Branch Library, 314 E. 14th St. in Davis. The potluck begins at 7 p.m. with the presentation to follow.
Those planning to attend are asked to bring a favorite dish to share and, in an effort to make this a “zero waste” event, their own plates, cups, utensils and napkins. The Yolano Group will provide beverages.
