Signatures gathered for water rates initiative

Proponents of the an initiative to repeal the current water rates will be at the Davis Farmers Market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday to gather signatures on their petition. The market takes place in Central Park, Fourth and C streets.

“Come down to the market to sign the petition and talk to us about your concerns and why we oppose the current water rates,” a spokeswoman said.
