A “Joy of Solar Cooking” workshop will be hosted by the Davis Permaculture Guild at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, in the Conference Room at the Davis Food Co-op, 620 G St.
Ray Daystar has taught solar cooking for 10 years. He will cover the basics of solar cooking, and the environmental and healthy-diet benefits of eating solar-cooked meals. He will bring a variety of solar ovens from large professional models to cookers made using recycled materials.
