Souper Bowl boosts Elderly Nutrition Program

Tickets are still available for the seventh annual Davis Food Co-op “Souper Bowl” fundraiser for the Elderly Nutrition Program, to be held Sunday at the Veterans’ Memorial Center, 203 E. 14th St. Seatings are at 4 and 5:30 p.m.

The event offers soups from Davis restaurants Caffé Italia, Davis Food Co-op Deli, de Vere’s Irish Pub, Dos Coyotes, Fat Face, Monticello Seasonal Cuisine, Osteria Fasulo, Our House, Seasons, Stone Soup Catering and To Go, Tommy J’s and UC Davis Dining Center.

Advance tickets are $12 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under, and are available at the Co-op, 620 G St. in downtown Davis, or online at davisfood.coop via the calendar page. The price includes tastes of all soups, a beverage and bread. A second seating has been added this year to accommodate everyone in the main dining room.

Music will be provided by Trio Seven and beer and wine will be available for purchase from members of Soroptimist International of Davis.
