The West Yolo Democratic Club will host a forum for state and national legislative candidates from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, at the Winters Opera House, 13 Main St.

The candidates will be given time to share their views on a range of issues such as water use, health care and education, directed by the moderator. A question-and-answer period will follow.

Reps. John Garamendi and Ami Bera are seeking re-election. Since Congress will be in session, representatives from each campaign will attend this event.

Four candidates are running for the California Assembly’s District 4 seat held by Mariko Yamada. Due to term limits, Yamada will leave office in December 2014. Davis Mayor Joe Krovoza, Davis Mayor Pro Tem Dan Wolk, Napa County Planning Commissioner Matt Pope and Napa County Supervisor Bill Dodd have been invited to attend. The club has received confirmation from Pope, Wolk and Krovoza.

The event is free and refreshments will be provided, including a no-host bar. For information, call 530-795-1074 or email [email protected].
