Spend some time this summer learning gentle Chinese exercise for health and vitality. Sponsored by Sutter Health, 10-class sessions begin June 20 at the Davis Holistic Health Center, 1403 Fifth St.
Designed for boomers and active seniors, “Qigong for Healthy Aging” (4 to 5 p.m.) focuses on increasing energy, improving flexibility and balance and enhancing immune function.
“Qigong for Women’s Health” (5 to 6 p.m.), introduces exercises that address women’s health concerns, including menopause, PMS, bone strength, hormone balance and depression.
New this quarter, “Qigong for Stress and Fatigue” (6 to 7 p.m.) will introduce movements designed to release both physical and mental tension and stress and to enhance energy and vitality (qi).
