Classes in tai chi — an internal martial art that emphasizes meditative movements to help develop a strong, flexible body that is alert and responsive to one’s environment — are offered from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Davis Senior Center, 646 A St.
Tai chi’s movements are practiced slow and relaxed to better allow the mind to learn how to coordinate the entire body. Participants fo all ages and abilities are welcome to join.
Instructor Daniel Pfister has spent more than 20 years practicing and teaching martial arts, including several years in China and Taiwan.
