Veterans are invited to a tailgate party beginning at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Causeway Classic football game between UC Davis and Sacramento State. The group will gather in spot No. 72 at the Aggie Tailgate Field at the northeast corner of Aggie Stadium at La Rue Road and Hutchison Drive.

The party is co-sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign War Post 6949 in Davis and the UC Davis Student Veterans Organization, with the support of the UCD Veterans Affairs Office.

Aggie fans are invited to stop by for some food, drinks and camaraderie. Tailgaiting will end just before kickoff.

Saturday will conclude as the VFW Post hosts its annual fall potluck dinner from 6 to 9:30 p.m. in the Club Room at the Veterans’ Memorial Center, 203 E. 14th St. All military members, veterans, families and friends are welcome.
