Tour Quail Ridge Reserve on Oct. 12.

Local residents are invited to take an interpretive walk on the Quail Ridge Reserve from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12. Frank Maurer, executive director of the conservancy, will lead the walk, pointing out highlights about wildlife and native inhabitants of the Lake Berryessa peninsula.

Hikers should bring binoculars, a camera, drinking water and a light bag lunch.

Walkers will gather at 2 p.m. at Markley Cove Resort on Lake Berryessa and will return at about 6 p.m. The walk will be canceled only in the event of rain.
