Tumor suppressors are focus of talk

Colleen Sweeny, Ph.D., will present “Understanding Tumor Suppressor Function in Breast Cancer” at the Breast Cancer Care and Research Fund educational program at 7 p.m. Monday, April 14.

Sweeney is professor and director of the Breast Cancer Program at the UC Comprehensive Cancer Center. She will answer two major questions: Do tumor suppressors prevent breast cancer? How do they work?

The program will be held at the University Covenant Church, 315 Mace Blvd. in Davis. There will be a time for questions and answers.
