By From page A4 | June 18, 2014

In observation of National Pollinator Week, June 16-22, the Häagen-Dazs Honey Bee Haven will host an open house from 5:30 to 7 p.m., Friday, June 20. The half-acre bee-friendly garden is on Bee Biology Road, next to the Harry H. Laidlaw Jr. Honey Bee Research Facility on the UC Davis campus. Free zinnia seeds will be given away while they last.

This is a bee garden owned and maintained by the UCD department of entomology and nematology with funding from Häagen-Dazs. It was planted in the fall of 2009.
