The religious studies department and the Writing Program at UC Davis are co-sponsoring a lecture by Erik Davis at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, at the Buehler Alumni & Visitors Center on campus.
Titled “Steve Jobs: California Visionary,” the lecture focuses on Jobs’ “debt to ‘California consciousness': the alternative strongly Bay Area ethos that exposed Jobs to important influences like Buddhism, psychadelics, alternative medicine and the sort of systems theory featured in the Whole Earth Catalog,” according a news release.
