Stitch, sing, dance and walk at the Senior Center
The Davis Senior Center, 646 A St., has several programs planned this month. All ages are welcome and there is no cost.
Anyone who loves to knit, crochet or stitch is welcome to join the friendly group at Hem & Haw from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesdays. Just drop in.
Do you like singing in the shower? Get out of your house and let your voice be heard with the Nostalgics from 1 to 2 p.m. Fridays. Join other singing enthusiasts who love singing those “oldies but goodies.”
All are invited to the center’s bimonthly dance and musician jam session from 2:15 to 4 p.m. Friday, July 17. Slip on those dancing shoes and fox-trot, tango or swing your body to the Senior Center’s own “Music From the Back Room” band. Those interested in playing an instrument in the band also may join in.
Step out at your own pace to improve circulation and cardiac fitness with Walk N’ Talk at 8:45 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Walkers depart from the Senior Center lobby and are always exploring new routes.
