Urinary woes are subject of support group meeting

Urinary incontinence resulting from treatment for prostate cancer usually resolves itself, but a small percentage of cases linger.

At the Monday, May 12, meeting of the Yolo Prostate Cancer Support Group, UC Davis urologist Jennifer Rothschild will discuss implantation of artificial urinary sphincters and other surgical treatments to rectify incontinence. She has expertise in lower urinary tract reconstruction and in urodynamic evaluation to diagnose bladder function.

The meeting is free and open to the public and will begin at 7 p.m. at the Woodland Community & Senior Center, 2001 East St., a half-mile south of the County Fair Mall.
