Water meeting showcases current projects

Water resource planning efforts and projects will be showcased at a meeting Monday of the Water Resources Association of Yolo County board of directors. The meeting, which is open to the public, begins at 3:30 p.m. at the Woodland Senior and Community Center, 2001 East St. in Woodland.

The key presentation will be an update on the development of the Westside Integrated Regional Water Management Plan. Poster presentations on seven actions contained in the management plan will be available for viewing at 4:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

The projects are Sacramento River joint fish screen/intake project; Yolo County groundwater and surface water monitoring program; Winters Putah Creek Park restoration; West Sacramento levee improvement program; Yolo Bypass integrated project; Cache Creek invasive weed management plan; and Yolo County and Westside Integrated Regional Water Management Plan.
