West Sac library hosts local mystery writers

By May 19, 2011

The public is invited to a conversation with four mystery writers at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, at the Arthur F. Turner Community Library, 1212 Merkley Ave. in West Sacramento.

Pat Canterbury (“Every Thursday”), L.F. Crawford (“Bad Moon Rising”), Nan Mahon (“Blind Buddy and Mojo’s Blues Band”) and Cindy Sample (“Dying for a Date”) will read from their new works, discuss the writing process and take questions.

“Although their styles are completely different, these crime solvers work their way through dead bodies to uncover the perpetrators,” said Yolo County Librarian Patty Wong. “Murders take place in vineyards, on cruise ships, in luxury apartments, on dates and in blues clubs. There’s something here for everyone.”

All four writers are members of Capitol Crimes, the Sacramento Chapter of Sisters in Crime International. Copies of their books will be for sale.
