By From page A3 | July 11, 2013

The Woodland Davis Aeromodelers will host their annual Wings of Victory air show this weekend featuring large-scale radio-control airplanes from World War I through the jet era. The show runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the club’s new complex on County Road 29 between Roads 102 and 105 northeast of Davis.

The aircraft have wingspans of 4 to 9 feet and are powered by gas and turbine engines, pushing them to fly at speeds just under 200 mph.

Visitors are reminded to bring umbrellas for shade. Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase.
