Would you love to float in a warm pool, weightlessly releasing stress and pain during your pregnancy? Are you curious about what’s involved with a water birth?
Join Laurie Loving, a Watsu practitioner, and Tosi Marceline, a licensed midwife, for a free presentation on warm-pool massage (Watsu) and childbirth in a warm water birthing tub.
“Receiving a massage in warm water is soothing, deeply relaxing and feels divine,” Loving said in a news release. “Pregnant moms experience increased freedom of movement and pain relief. Many mothers report feeling ‘as one’ while floating with their babies!
“During the birth itself, laboring in warm water is calming,” she continued. “Pain decreases and the length of labor often shortens. Babies enter their new world gently and rarely cry.”
The workshop will begin at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Mother & Baby Source, 714 Second St. in downtown Davis. Register online at www.LovingAquaticMassage.com. For more information, call Loving at 530-756-7335.
