The public is invited to join the Yolo Audubon Society on a free walking field trip along Putah Creek. Participants will search for migrating birds, including a variety of warblers, grosbeaks, tanagers and flycatchers. Bring binoculars, snack and water, and wear sturdy shoes since the paths along the creek are unpaved.
The field trip is Sunday, Sept 15.
Participants will meet at 7 a.m. Sunday at the junction of Hopkins Road and Levee Road on the UC Davis campus, just south of the University Airport. Parking is available. The tour walk should be over by late morning.
For more information, contact trip leader Michael Strom at 408-505-0328. The walk will be canceled in the event of heavy rain or strong winds.
