Join the California Raptor Center and the American Kestrel Partnership at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 21, and build your own nest box at the Raptor Center on UC Davis campus. The American kestrel population is declining in California and you can take an active role in increasing their numbers. No skills are necessary and all materials will be provided. Two to four people may build one nest box, so bring the family. Instruction is provided for mounting and monitoring the next boxes, or the center can do that for you. The cost is $20 per nest box; there is no charge for UC Davis students. Space is limited, so sign up in advance at 916-690-5543 or email@example.com.
