A dance and cake walk to benefit the Yolo Community Care Continuum are planned for Thursday, May 30, at the Odd Fellows Hall, 415 Second St. in downtown Davis. Music will be provided by Blackbird and dances will be called by Erik Hoffman.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and dancing begins at 7:15 p.m. A cake walk will be available, made possible by donations from Baskin-Robbins, Caffé Italia, Konditorei, Let Them Eat Cake, Little Prague, Nugget Market, Our House, Seasons, Stone Soup and more.

(In a cake walk, music plays while folks walk in a circle. When the music stops, a number is called. If you’re standing on that number, you win a whole cake — for $1.)

Tickets are $12 general, $8 for seniors and students and $5 for children 12 and under. They’re available online at davisfood.coop. A family ticket, admitting two adults and their children, is available for $25. Tickets also may be available at the door, if not sold out. Cake walk tickets will be available at the door for $1 each.

YCCC is a nonprofit organization established to improve the lives of people with mental illness through direct services, advocacy, education and volunteer efforts.
