Campus event supports sober driving

UC Davis students will enjoy a concert by the Cal Aggie Marching Band-uh, games, food and competitions Friday evening at “The Buzz,” an event to promote the importance of designated drivers. The event, presented by RADD, the entertainment industry’s voice for road safety, will run from 6 to 10 p.m. on the campus Quad.

Students will receive a RADD card that can be used to receive free non-alcoholic drinks for designated drivers at many participating local bars and restaurants.

Participating businesses include Bistro 33 Davis, Burgers and Brew, Café Bernardo, Davis Beer Shoppe, de Vere’s Irish Pub, Froggy’s Bar & Grill, G Street Wunderbar, Gunrock Pub, KetMoRee, Little Prague, Mikuni, Our House, Red 88 Noodle Bar, Sophia’s Thai Kitchen, Sudwerk Restaurant & Brewery, Tres Hermanas, University of Beer and Woodstock’s Pizza.
