Polly, a 7-month-old female German shorthair/pit bull mix, and Frisco, a handsome and friendly 1-year-old neutered male purebred Rottweiler, are two of more than 45 dogs available for adoption through Rotts of Friends Animal Rescue from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday. The adoption event takes place at 29 Palms Pet Resort, 34505 County Road 29, between Roads 94 and 95, a half-mile west of the Yolo County Airport. All dogs available for adoption are spayed or neutered, healthy, microchipped and current on their shots. They also come with free lifetime obedience training classes. For more information, call Renee Lancaster at (530) 681-1326 or leave a message at (530) 661-0213. If Saturday doesn’t work for you, appointments are available for other days and times. Rotts of Friends Animal Rescue is a local nonprofit, established to rescue and place Rottweilers and other breeds of dogs in need of a loving, permanent home.
