Augie is a friendly 1-year-old chocolate and white neutered male Manchester terrier mix. He’s happiest in someone’s lap and is perfect with other dogs. Jackie, a 2-year-old Queensland heeler mix, is blind but has a heart of gold. She grew up in a family and is great with people and other dogs. Both dogs would make great family pets; they and many others are available for adoption from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday through Rotts of Friends Animal Rescue at 29 Palms Pet Resort, 34505 County Road 29. The resort is between Roads 94 and 95, a half-mile west of the Yolo County Airport. All dogs are spayed or neutered, healthy, microchipped, current on their shots and come with free lifetime obedience training classes. For more information, call Renee Lancaster at 530-681-1326 or leave a message at 530-661-0213. If Saturday doesn’t work for you, appointments are available for other days and times.
