Flower is a calm and gentle 8-year-old spayed female border collie. Flower loves to play, go for walks and hang out with her friends. She would make a wonderful “first dog” or a companion for a single person. Puckor is a super-friendly 10-month to 1-year-old purebred neutered male boxer. When Puckor was found, he was very thin and had lost most of his hair. Now his coat is growing back and he’s gained 6 pounds. Puckor loves people and when he meets someone, his whole body wags! Local residents can meet Puckor, Flower and some of the 50 dogs adoptable through Rotts of Friends Animal Rescue between 8 and 11 a.m. Saturday. The event is at 29 Palms Pet Resort, 34505 County Road 29 in Woodland, between Roads 94 and 95, a half-mile west of the Yolo County Airport. To see some of the many dogs available for adoption, visit RottsOfFriends.com. All dogs are spayed or neutered, healthy, microchipped, current on shots and come with free lifetime obedience training classes. For more information, call Renee Lancaster at 530-681-1326 or leave a message at 530-661-0213. If Saturday doesn’t work for you, appointments are available for other days and times.
