Daphne is a sweet-natured, freckle-faced, 8- to 9-month-old  spayed female Great Dane mix who will be a medium-sized dog when she is fully grown. She’s smart and loves to play. Zippy is a 1-year-old neutered male dachshund/Manchester terrier mix who is super-friendly and wants to please. Come meet Daphne, Zippy or some of the 55 other adoptable dogs during Rotts of Friends’ adoption event from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at 29 Palms Pet Resort, 34505 County Road 29 in Woodland, between Roads 94 and 95, a half-mile west of the Yolo County Airport. To see some of the many dogs available for adoption, visit www.RottsOfFriends.com. All available dogs are spayed or neutered, healthy, microchipped, current on shots and come with free lifetime obedience training classes. For more information, call Renee Lancaster at 530-681-1326.
