By From page A2 | August 02, 2013

The Cannery, a 100-acre development proposed by ConAgra and The New Home Company for the former Hunt-Wesson canning site on Covell Boulevard, will be topic of discussion at Tuesday’s Davis Chamber of Commerce community luncheon.┬áThe Davis City Council begins final deliberations on The Cannery proposal on Sept. 10.

Tuesday’s lunch will be one of the final opportunities for the community to ask detailed questions and influence this mixed-use, multi-generational development that proposes to sustainably blend residential living with parks and businesses. Representatives from the project proponents, and their local advisers and partners, will be prepared to answer audience questions about home design, transportation connectivity, sustainability features of buildings, and the commercial component.

The luncheon will be held at Odd Fellows Hall, 415 Second St., from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Tickets are $18 for Chamber members and $25 for nonmembers, and may be purchased at www.DavisChamber.com or by calling the Chamber at 530-756-5160.
