Folklorico Latino de Woodland will host a carnitas dinner fundraiser at 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 28, at the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Woodland, 37650 Hwy 16.

The funds will help support The Marina Ramirez Scholarship Fund and the 27th annual showcase “Baile y Passion por el Norte,” which will take place Nov. 23 at the Woodland Opera House. The Dinner will include homestyle carnitas, salad, rice, beans, tortillas and a desert. Raffle tickets will also be available to get a chance to win some prizes, while still supporting the event.

Tickets are available online at brownpapertickets.com for $9 per adult and $5 for a child plate (fees apply online); tickets will also be available on site for the same price. Contact Martha Michel at 916-359-9412 or email at fldw1986@yahoo.com for more information.
