While it’s great that Cathy is doing so much to give back,the thing about als being genetic is wrong and she could heal herself if she knew how.

Als is not really about genes or biology gone wrong.

Als happens when factors and patterns in a person’s life come together to make it happen. In Cathy’s case, the patterns and factors causing her nerves to go are related to the emotional issues she has experienced.

So what she really needs to do about als is learn to heal herself.

Beautiful article Anne! It reminded me how extraordinary the people who deal with ALS are. My dear friend Anne Marie Schleckaway passed away last December and between that day and when she had been diagnosed with ALS she lived an life of courage and inspiration. Before the disease she was one of the funniest people you ever met and a tremendous blues singer. The first thing ALS took was her power of speech. Rather than be stopped she created “Speechless Speeches” that inspired thousands of people around the world to live their lives more fully.
Thank you again for making sure that this kind of story gets told.
