The Yolo Adult Day Health Center will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a free community open house on Thursday, June 12, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at 20 N. Cottonwood St. in Woodland.

Woodland Healthcare’s Yolo Adult Day Health Center offers a diverse range of services for individuals and families facing the challenges of serious health problems such as dementia, chronic medical diagnoses, mental illness or brain injury.

The professionally trained staff has a rich understanding of the issues related to community-based chronic care management, caregiving, family dynamics, desire for independence, care coordination, home safety, community resources, memory loss and long-term care planning.

“Our diverse programs are designed to promote independence with dignity, said Dawn Myers Purkey, program manager at the center. “We’ve been committed to the community for 30 years with a focus on individual strengths, choice, collaboration, innovation and quality to best support frail adults and family caregivers. We have a lot to celebrate!”
