Celebrate the season with DCC Christmas Concert

By From page A5 | December 01, 2011

Davis Community Church will present an Advent and Christmas Concert that is open to the community at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, at the church, 412 C St. The concert will feature all of the church’s choirs, including the Chancel and Chamber Choirs, the Bell Choir and the Worship Band.

The stories are familiar but it is music of the season that brings home the meaning of the birth of Christ, a church spokeswoman said.

Choirs will sing carols from Germany, Spain, England and the United States. The Bell Choir will play “Sleigh Ride” as well as French and English carols. There will be familiar carols for all to sing.

Admission to the concert is free, but donations to support the church’s music program will be accepted with gratitude.
