By From page A5 | January 27, 2013

The 10th annual Celebration of Abraham will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, in the Community Room of Davis Community Church, 412 C St., Davis. The event is free and everyone is welcome.

The Celebration of Abraham comprises lay people and clergy from congregations working to promote understanding and compassion among Jews, Christians and Muslims. The theme of the 2013 Celebration is “Interfaith Models of Community.” At the Celebration people will hear from individuals who are modeling interfaith community, focusing specifically on the Multifaith Living Community at CA House where 37 young people from five different religions are building an interfaith community.

Freewill donations at the Celebration will go to the Red Cross to help victims of Hurricane Sandy.
