The AJD Angels of Hope, who are hosting their third annual Charitable Giving Back, added an international relief effort to the event, which will run from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the St. James Church Memorial Hall, 1275 B St.
Tickets were distributed to all elementary schools to benefit children in the Davis schools who are participants in the free and reduced-price lunch program. Additional tickets may be available; call Zita Demaree at 530-763-7087.

The nonprofit is coordinating its effort to provide care packages with nonperishable foods, clothes, toys, school supplies, baby products and other accessories that will bring smiles to these children locally and internationally.

The organization also helps to provide a medical and dental free clinic, scholarships and child sponsorships through its partnership with Can+Hear Marco Emmanuel Charity.

For those not attending Saturday’s event, there are drop boxes for toys and canned goods at First Northern Bank, 434 Second St., and the Odd Fellows Hall, 415 Second St. Those who would like to make a monetary donations to the Typhoon Haiyan Relief Operation Fund should contact Demaree at zmdemaree@comcast.net or 530-753-9069.
